Tammy Craig Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Property & Casualty Technology
Tammy Craig is the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Property & Casualty Technology at Nationwide, one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the U.S.
Tammy has worked in the technology field for more than 25 years and has been with Nationwide since 2005. She has served in several roles at Nationwide, including Director of Usability and Design, AVP of Pricing Application, Chief Technology Officer for Property & Casualty, VP of Finance Corporate Applications, CIO of IT Strategic Initiatives and CIO of P&C Commercial. In May 2017, Tammy also took on the added responsibility for defining the strategy, planning and execution of our Commercial Lines Direct business.
In December 2019, she was named CTO of Property & Casualty Technology, accountable for major personal, commercial and agency transformation programs which will simplify the product, process and technology supporting our personal and commercial businesses.
Prior to Nationwide, Tammy worked for telecommunication companies AT&T, Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies. While in the telecommunications industry, she served in several software technical, architecture and leadership roles.
Tammy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from The Ohio State University College of Engineering. She also holds a Master of Science degree in computer science from the Stanford University College of Engineering.
Tammy and her husband, Bruce, reside in Alexandria, Ohio. They have three adult children, Katie (Addison, granddaughter, and Owen, grandson), Liz and Mike who all live in Central Ohio as well.
