Kelly Hernandez, FCAS, MAAA, Associate Vice President, Personal Lines Telematics. Kelly has been in the insurance industry for more than 20 years in roles spanning personal lines loss reserving, pricing, and product development. As a leader of telematics innovation, Kelly currently oversees Nationwide’s industry leading Personal Lines UBI programs SmartRide and SmartMiles. A few highlights of this work include introducing new telematics scoring capabilities, a mobile app program for SmartRide, a connected car solution, and Nationwide’s pay-per-mile auto program, SmartMiles. Kelly has a passion for creating new product offerings that serve and exceed our customer expectations. With a focus on telematics, Kelly can bring this passion forward ensuring our current programs provide our customers personalized rates, while also creating UBI programs of the future. Kelly is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University.
