John leads the Excess & Surplus Contract Property & Casualty, Excess/Umbrella and Underwriting Insights teams. He brings 16 years of experience in underwriting, agency management, risk management, program and product development, and technology system development in the Excess and Surplus Lines field. Prior to his current role, John worked in a similar Underwriting Management capacity for other E&S insurance carriers in the Scottsdale, Ariz., area.

John received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is a graduate of the NAPSLO E&S School & Advanced School and the Select Management and Leadership program. Additionally, John is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Insurance Wholesalers Association.
