Jay Larsen Vice President, Enterprise Sales Activation
Jay currently leads Enterprise Sales-Activation, a combined effort to take Nationwide’s broad suite of property & casualty and financial services products to market on a portfolio basis. This includes the design and implementation of innovative digital, marketing, and sales strategies across the country.
Prior to this role, Jay was Vice President of Sales and Distribution leading sales enablement for Nationwide Insurance P&C Operations including sales technology, communications, and related activation capabilities. Jay has also served as the Regional Vice President of the Southeastern Regional Office and lead the combined Midwest P&C regional operations. Jay played a key role in the review and acquisition of Harleysville Insurance and subsequently became Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Harleysville Insurance during its integration into Nationwide. He has also held a variety of sales leadership roles including the Southeastern Region as well as serving as the Vice President of Sales for Nationwide’s independent channel operations. Jay spent the first decade of his insurance career in the commercial and farm underwriting disciplines of Nationwide’s Western Regional Operations.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University of Sacramento, and he carries the Associates in Loss Control Management ALCM and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters CPCU designations.
When not at work, Jay is active in the community serving on the Youth Emergency Services & Shelter of Iowa (YESS). He and his wife Caroline are hometown sweethearts from Napa Valley, CA and we enjoy spending time with our son, Raymond, who is a Graduate Student at Iowa State University. Go Cyclones!
