Dirk Pollitt Vice President of Sales and Underwriting
Dirk Pollitt is the Vice President of Sales and Underwriting for Nationwide Agribusiness. He is accountable for the growth and profitability efforts of approximately $1 billion of Farm business countrywide and leads the staff Product and Underwriting organization for Farm and Commercial Agribusiness. Prior to this, Dirk served as the countrywide Nationwide Agribusiness Sales leader responsible for the relationship management and business development for over 8,000 distribution partners.
With over 30 years of industry experience, Dirk has served in roles of increasing responsibility. At Nationwide, his roles include the Regional Vice President of the Midwest Regional Operation for Nationwide Insurance where Dirk was accountable for the profitable growth of both personal and commercial lines for 11 states. He lead all aspects of the operating model in the Midwest including strategic business planning, distribution delivery, associate engagement, and financial performance. He additionally served as Sales Associate Vice President in the South Central Regional Operation, his first role at Nationwide in 2011.
Prior to joining Nationwide, Dirk spent over twenty years as a leader with a Fortune 100 insurance organization. He was responsible for the Independent Channel operations for the Midwest and East Coast.
Dirk began his career in Finance and Planning. In his early career, he held several different roles, including personal lines underwriter, finance division manager, and sales director of both the captive and independent agency channels.
Dirk holds a Bachelor’s degree from Millikin University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Butler University.
